Mark Dillon’s experience as a player, coach, executive manager, and contributor to the growth and development of soccer in the United States spans over 40 years, many continents and nationalities. With a passion for the game, Mark followed where opportunity led him to further a calling to serve American youth soccer players beyond their domestic borders.
A native of San Francisco, California, Mark played at the University of San Francisco before signing his first professional contract with the San Jose Earthquakes, and later the Seattle Sounders. He became one of the first Americans to play in the United Kingdom at Wrexham FC expanding his soccer experience in the international arena.
He has coached at the college and professional levels achieving an A-license. Mark has worked together with major European clubs Ajax Amsterdam and Bayer Leverkusen, and has served as a consultant to the Moroccan World Cup team and the Cameroon National teams.This blend of domestic and international experience has given Mark insight to best practices for developing youth players. It is this basis of experience and knowledge that holds him steadfast to the belief that it will only happen when we provide our youth with the best training and development platform out there. Through the Talentprojekt Mark hopes to further his mission of "giving young Americans with big dreams the development opportunities that the United States is not yet ready to provide them with.”
Mark makes his home in Central Florida where he has lived for 37 years. He has two adult children that both went on to play college soccer, and is a proud grandfather.
